1-DAY Litchfield Tour

We pick you up from your accommodation at 7am and make our way to Adelaide River for our Jumping Crocodile cruise (optional extra). For those who prefer not to participate in the cruise, you have the option to visit Fogg Dam - a bird lover’s paradise.

Located on the traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people, the wetlands of Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is home to water pythons, freshwater turtles and plenty more native wildlife including many bird species.

The dam was originally built in 1956 to irrigate seedling rice but the project failed; now Fogg Dam is visited by tourists and locals to observe the diverse wildlife in their natural habitat.

We then continue to Litchfield’s most popular swimming spot, Wangi Falls. A favourite among locals, the water cascades over the Litchfield escarpment into a plunge pool surrounded by thick monsoonal rainforest. We will have lunch and swim here.

After lunch, we make our way to the pools of Buley Rockhole for a relaxing dip and then continue down stream to Florence Falls for a swim.

Once we have cooled off we’ll check out the magnetic and cathedral termite mounds before heading back to Darwin where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation around 6pm.
